New PC for Path....
He's looking for a newer PC. Here is a little something I have came up with.... He doesn't want to go all out, just something basic that can help him get past "19 FPS"...What I have put together for him should kick Ass on ANY map, and he should be running continual "frames" i would say prolly a steady 60 Fps.
This search was done on >TigerDirect<, which is a good site. So is >NewEgg<
What I have put together for you, Path, is a minimum-gaming PC that will run about... $482.94 ... that is, if you already have an Operating System you can use when you go to format your Hard Drive.
NEW PC:
>Barebones Kit<, includes...Case, CPU, Motherboard, RAM, DVD writer, Hard Drive.
>Video Card<, EVGA GeForce GT 520
>CPU Fan<, normal 95W fan...no need to go big on this, this will do the job, and save your wallet.
>Case Fans x2<, 2 120mm Case Fans.
>460W Power Supply<, Cooler Master Elite 460W ATX
And that is about all you would need if you already have a copy of Windows to slap on it...if not, you are looking at a couple more hundred for the operating system. Also, you may need to purchase some >Thermal Gel< to go in-between your CPU and CPU fan when installing. It doesn't take much of that stuff and If you put to much on it can leak out the sides and possibly short a circuit so be careful with the amount and place it in the center surface of the CPU.
anything else I might have left out guys, just let me know...you could add a sound card, but if you allready have one or do not use 5.1 or above speakers than it really doesn't matter.

Re: New PC for Path....
Thanks Meat. The problem is that, with exception to doing graphics, I know how to turn the computer on... and with my shit Karma, it's not a good idea for me to be doing any sort of computer building. I will have to buy it "ready-to-fly," because even then, as it has gone with every single computer I've every purchased, there are plenty of trips to a computer specialist to do things I just don't understand how to do. This is the reason I haven't bought anything before now... a new computer is only going to piss me off because "I spent how much for this fucking thing, and it's not doing what it's suppose to do right out of the fucking box." lol
It'll have to be ready to go. No way around that.
Thanks for the research!

That's about all I can come up with at the moment. I still think you would be better off just putting one together yourself...but I do know what you are talking about, with your "karma"!!! But you really should stop thinking like that...that is only setting yourself up for failure, and after all the shit you have been through and had to witness in your life.....you are no failure dude, not by a long shot. Besides, Computers are easy to put together in the first place, most PC guys will tell you differently though...it's kinda like a plumber's secret...we make it seem harder than what it really is. The hardest part is making sure everything is compatible with everything else. Maybe you could ask a nearby friend or family member to help you....
